Join our community choir
Our choir meets weekly during school term on a Tuesday afternoon to come together and sing classic songs and tunes. These sessions are a fun and social activity for those living with dementia and their carers.
Music is known to help reduce anxiety and depression in people living with dementia. It can help maintain speech and language, reignite lost memories, stimulate cognition and enhance quality of life.
Carers comment on the positive impact singing has on their loved one after a choir session and report a noticeable improvement in mood and cognition.
Term 4 commences on Tuesday 10th October at 3pm and finishes on Tuesday 12th December.
Please note there will be no choir on Tuesday 7th November.
