LEAVING A GIFT IN YOUR WILL
A Lasting Legacy of Care and Compassion

Leaving a gift in your Will to the St Luke’s Care Foundation is a deeply personal and meaningful way to ensure compassionate care, wellbeing, and community connection continue for generations to come.

Many of our supporters choose to remember St Luke’s Care in their Will as a reflection of the care they or their loved ones have received. Through a legacy gift, you can help secure the future of our hospital, services, and programs, ensuring compassionate care remains available to all who need it.

We are profoundly grateful to those who choose to leave a lasting legacy with St Luke’s Care.

WHY LEAVE A BEQUEST TO ST LUKE’S CARE?

A gift in your Will can help St Luke’s continue to deliver high-quality, person-centred care across our hospital and community services.

Your legacy may support:
• The development and renewal of clinical facilities
• Investment in specialised equipment and programs
• Education and training for healthcare staff
• Community and wellbeing initiatives
• Areas of greatest need, as determined by the Foundation

Bequests provide flexible, long-term funding that allows St Luke’s Care to respond to emerging needs and opportunities.

THE IMPACT OF LEGACY GIVING

Bequests have already played a transformative role in the life of St Luke’s.

For example, a generous bequest from Mr. Ronald Johnson enabled the renovation of Hemsley House, now home to the Clinic, Active Life Studio, consulting rooms, and physiotherapy gym, supporting thousands of patients and clients each year.

Legacy gifts like this continue to shape the future of our care.

HOW TO LEAVE A GIFT IN YOUR WILL

Including St Luke’s Hospital Foundation in your Will is straightforward and can be done when you next update your Will.

You may choose to leave:
• A percentage of your estate
• A specific sum of money
• The residue of your estate
• A particular asset
• A contingent gift

Many supporters choose to first provide for their loved ones and then leave a gift to St Luke’s Care from the remainder of their estate.

You can also choose whether your gift is directed to a specific area or used where it is most needed.

We encourage you to seek independent legal advice when preparing or updating your Will.
