You will be personally involved in improving the quality of life for people every day by providing exceptional and personalised care to those in need. You can be confident your role will be deeply satisfying and highly rewarding.

Staff Benefits & Rewards Program

Care Connect

All our staff are invited to participate in Care Connect, our internal communications and Employee Benefits program. This is accessed via dedicated website. The platform can be used to access benefits such as discounts across major supermarkets and fuel providers, discounts on retailers in fashion, technology, white goods and homewares and other costs savings. Our aim is to support our staff by putting more money in their pockets through perks and rewards. There is no cost to our employees for using Care Connect.

Care Connect is also used by managers and colleagues to share recognition in the form of shout outs, kudos and awards. We celebrate work anniversaries and birthdays with gifts from the company and mark other special moments in our teams.

Staff Discounts

All St Luke’s employees receive a discount when engaging in health services offered by St Luke’s Clinic including physiotherapy and podiatry. Our staff also receive a 10% discount at the Nightingale Café, and discounted daily parking at the nearby Secure Car Park.

Salary Packaging

Salary packaging is offered to all St Luke’s Care employees as a way to put more money into your pocket. As a not-for-profit organisation, we are permitted to offer salary packaging to increase the take home pay of our team members. This means you can use some of your salary to pay for everyday expenses before income tax is calculated, meaning you pay less tax and have more money to spend. That’s because your salary packaging money is deducted first and then your tax is calculated on the remaining amount.

Annual Awards

We also recognise our staff with our Annual Recognition Awards. Each November, staff who have demonstrated prowess in Service and Clinical Excellence and those who role model our values are rewarded. We also celebrate and recognise years of continuous service.

Employee Assistance Program

We offer all our staff access to an Employee Assistance Program which provides free and confidential support 24/7.

Work Life Balance

Rostering Flexibility

We understand that flexible work options are important for our staff, therefore, we offer a range of full-time, part-time and casual working options across our organisation. As we offer 247 care to our community, we also have rostering options outside of traditional working hours to give you more control of when you work. We also operate with a hydrid working model for those job roles where it is suitable to do so.

Paid Parental Leave

An employee covered by a St Luke’s Care Enterprise Agreement may be entitled to 14 weeks’ paid parental leave (in addition to government parental payments) and the option to instead take 28 weeks’ leave at half pay. Employees who are the support carer are entitled to 2 weeks paid leave.

St Luke’s Day

We celebrate St Luke’s Day annually, with an extra day of paid annual leave for all our staff, to be taken between Christmas and New Years Day.

Career Development

We strongly believe in and encourage the growth and development of our staff, both professionally and personally. We encourage, nurture and cultivate talent by partnering with our people on their development journey through coaching and mentoring.

St Luke’s Care Scholarship Program

At St Luke’s Care, we believe in supporting the professional development of our staff. Our annual scholarship program reinforces our commitment to providing educational pathways for further education. We welcome our staff presenting further study options to their managers, who award these scholarships.

Ongoing Education

We provide ongoing practical training and continuous professional development aligned to your role.

We partner with external RTO’s to provide a variety of accredited programs to staff, providing them with a fantastic opportunity to upskill in work hours, at no expense.

Our Registered Nurse new graduate program allows recent graduates to participate in a structured and supported program as they begin their working lives.
