Celebrating the Generosity of the Rose Bay Committee
On Wednesday, 2 April, St Luke’s Care proudly welcomed the Rose Bay Committee to campus for their Annual General Meeting — a day filled with gratitude, reflection, and celebration.
The Committee members were joined by Sue Thacker, Director of Residential Aged Care, for a special moment in the Lulworth Garden, where a new plaque was unveiled to acknowledge their generous contribution to the garden’s beauty. In a fitting tribute, specially bred Rose Bay Roses—donated by the Committee—are now in bloom, adding colour and charm to a space that brings joy to residents and visitors alike.
But their generosity doesn’t stop there. The Rose Bay Committee, who already fund beloved community programs including outings to the Botanic Gardens and Art Gallery, announced exciting new funding initiatives. These include support for the Taronga Zoo program and additional Lifestyle activities designed to enrich the lives of both Lulworth residents and staff.
We are incredibly fortunate to have such a dedicated and passionate group of women advocating for St Luke’s Care and The Hospital Foundation. Their ongoing support continues to make a meaningful impact across our community, and we are truly thankful for all that they do.
