Enjoy coffee and socialise. Café Connect has a particular focus on reducing stigma, encouraging social engagement, and empowering families living with dementia.
This month, we are joined by music therapists Elizabeth Benedict & Jenna Murphy. Participate in a live music quiz exploring popular music and lyrics. Designed specifically for those living with dementia, this program offers fragments of music or short lyric quotes as clues to prompt song titles, artists and different eras of music. Interactive sharing of musical memories is encouraged. Once a song is identified, the music therapists will lead the group through a live rendition, supported by violin, guitar and voice. Song sheets are provided and singing is always encouraged and welcomed. No prior talent necessary.
Free to participate and bookings are essential.
