Help us help the community

St Luke's Care is an independent not-for-profit, non-denominational organisation with a proud tradition of delivering excellence in health and aged care for almost 100 years.


St Luke’s Hospital Foundation sits alongside St Luke’s Care and raises funds to provide essential support. Donations to the Foundation in the past have enabled vital upgrades to our hospital operating theatres and wards, an ambitious refurbishment of Lulworth House, and main hospital renovations. In addition, we have been able to purchase state-of-the-art equipment, ensure the ongoing provision of flexible home care, and provide innovative programs for our Lulworth House residents.


St Luke's Hospital Foundation was formed in 1982 with the goal to raise $1 million towards the cost of establishing a residential aged care facility in Lulworth House. In its inaugural year, the Foundation exceeded the target and contributed $1.6 million, ensuring the viability of St Luke’s Aged Care at Lulworth House.

With such encouragement, the Foundation continued to recruit members and in 1987 sought to raise a further $2 million towards the cost of the essential upgrades of the hospital, its equipment and facilities.

Since those early days, the Foundation has played an essential role in providing significant funding to develop, in every respect, a health and aged care organisation that meets the current and changing needs of our community.

The Foundation depends on the generosity of its supporters. All gifts are fully tax deductible.
