Kwok Y Yan is a Consultant Respiratory Physician with special interest in upper airway disease, asthma, allergy and sleep medicine. He graduated from University of Sydney in 1974 and gained his FRACP in 1981. He completed his MD thesis in 1985 titled: Nature of bronchial hyperresponsiveness in subjects with asthma, chronic obstructive lung disease and rhinitis. He was awarded an NH&MRC scholarship in Allergic Diseases in 1981-83 and has served as a member of the Scientific Subcommittee to the Australian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy, and the Bronchoprovocation Subcommittee to the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology. He is now in private practice and his current appointments include: Visiting Medical Officer, Department of Respiratory Medicine, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (since 1988), Director of Sleep Laboratory, St Luke’s Hospital (since 1994).
