OverviewExcellence in aged care

Whether you are considering the move to aged care yourself or you are helping your parents or loved one find a place, the decision is an emotional one for you and your family.

If you are uncertain on how to proceed, we offer an Advisory Service to help friends, family and carers work through the emotional and practical issues they face when making important healthcare decisions.

The first step to entry to St Luke's Aged Care facilities is an assessment by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) accessible through your doctor or hospital. Click here to find the ACAT location nearest you. This team of health professionals will review your circumstances to assess the exact kind of care required. This assessment is funded by the government and you will not be charged. To understand more about this process see St Luke's Guide to Aged Care

St Luke's Aged Care has been approved by the Australian Government and our ongoing standards of care are monitored by the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency. This approval means our facilities and people have met and exceeded some very exacting standards and it makes us very proud to be classified as a leading provider of quality aged care.

St Luke's was established in 1919 as a private hospital. Today our culture of care and expertise extends to looking after people who need care for surgery, medical conditions or the frailty of age. We offer care through St Luke's Hospital, specialised Home Care and Residential Aged Care at Lulworth House in Elizabeth Bay. We offer low, high and respite care options.

Our objective is to create a relaxed and caring atmosphere that promotes dignity and respect and emphasises the physical, emotional and mental wellbeing of residents
